Find out moreAt Morrisons, we’re always working hard to deliver exciting solutions that bring more of our fantastic products to more people than ever.
Our fresher tech has made it possible for our customers to find our products in more than just supermarkets. It’s driven us to deliver to more people in more postcodes that at any time in our history. And it powered the development of our unique Food Boxes product over just two weeks while also helping to scale up our online delivery slots. Just to make sure customers could get the food they need, direct to their door, at the height of lockdown.
And it’s all thanks to the people behind our Digital and Innovation team.
Be part of a business that’s driven by fresher tech
Fresher tech can make everyone’s lives a little easier. And, while the country was getting to grips with the Coronavirus pandemic, our Digital and Innovation team were hard at work making sure we could all carry on doing our jobs. In our stores, we introduced intervention tablets at our self-checkouts, along with hand held terminals and headsets which helped our colleagues and our customers to follow social distancing guidelines.
For colleagues who worked at home or who were isolating, we replaced face to face meetings with video calls. We used Google Communities, Colleague Facebook and WhatsApp to stay in touch. And we sent out daily bulletins and VLOGS to keep everyone updated.
Our delivery drivers weren’t left out either, and they were able to make the most of card readers, tablets and other innovative doorstep delivery equipment to help them - and their customers - stay safe. And across our business, we quickly made sure everyone had the technology they needed to connect and feel like they were part of something special - even when they weren’t at work. At Morrisons, we’ve always been a business that’s driven by fresher tech. That’s something that will never change.

Digital on a brand new scale
We’re also expanding our wholesale offer into innovative new areas online, too. Right now, we have four Amazon platforms, including Morrisons on Amazon, plus our own Morrisons.com online teams.
Our partnership with Amazon alone involves picking around 1.5m units in our supermarkets each week, which are then delivered by Amazon drivers. When we say we’re growing at scale, we really mean it.
Our Platform and Analytics team keeps it all moving. On the team you’ll find Product Owners, Product Managers and Analysts, with everyone pulling together to make sure we develop the right websites that offer the right functionality for our customers.
Working here is about putting customers first, using data to drive big decisions, and building lasting relationships inside and outside of Morrisons.
And with our brilliant development plans and real opportunities for career progression, you could grow just as fast as our digital products.

Be part of a true tech-driven business
If there’s one thing that Feeding the Nation taught us, it’s that tech can make everyone’s lives a little easier. And, while the country was getting to grips with the Coronavirus pandemic, our Digital and Innovation teams were hard at work making sure we could all carry on doing our jobs.

At Morrisons, we’ve always been a tech-driven business. That’s something that will never change.
We’re really making things happen
Across the team, you’ll find UX and UI designers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and all kinds of tech innovation people who take our new products and services out to market. Our focus is on bringing exciting innovations to every corner of Morrisons, from new apps to better ways of shopping to brilliant customer experiences.
And with a progressive, UX-first way of working and a true cross-functional approach, we’re really making things happen in a big way.
For example, our exciting new scan and shop app has been designed to minimise interaction between people, and that’s just one of the incredible and unique ways we’re responding to life after the pandemic.
Our roadmap has never looked more exciting
Today’s environment means our Digital and Innovation team has never been more important to the future of our business. Things are really moving at pace, what we were expecting to happen has already happened, and our roadmap has never looked more exciting.
It’s a young and growing team, with a genuine focus on flexibility and positiver attitude to work/life balance. Not to mention brilliant development plans and real opportunities for career progression.
Which all means that you could grow just as fast as we are.
